The five-star hotel, located in Pinhão, in the heart of the Douro Wine Region, reopens with programs that invite you to enjoy the natural landscape of the region, as a couple or as a family

Close your eyes and imagine that you wake up in the Douro Valley, overlooking palm trees, the river and terraced vineyards. This is the image you see from the balconies of The Vintage House, a five-star hotel, located in the heart of the Douro. Overlooking the river, its long gardens and outdoor pool become a viewpoint for one of the most appreciated landscapes in the world.

To safety as a priority, the hotel implemented strict rules of hygiene and social distance, complying with all the rules of the General Directorate of Health and the “Clean & Safe” seal of Turismo de Portugal.

The reopening of the The Vintage House it is done with new processes and rules, but with the usual invitation: to enjoy the best that the Douro has to offer, from its location and unique landscape, to welcome, wines, gastronomy and tradition. Among the programs in force, there are suggestions for two for a romantic getaway or a wine experience with a picnic in the vineyards, as well as offers for families looking for a moment of tranquility and contact with nature.

O Romantic Program invites you to a night or two in the heart of the Douro, with complete privacy and comfort and just one decision to make: breakfast à la carte in the breakfast room or served in your room? The romantic VIP treatment on arrival anticipates the care in every detail of the experience, which also includes a Port wine tasting and late check-out.

For the "Douro Wine Lovers" the suggestion extends to the vineyards and mills at Quinta da Roêda, located a few meters from the Hotel. Cradle of Port Croft wines, home with more than 430 years of history, the experience includes a private picnic in the vineyards, with the Douro landscape as a backdrop, and a commented tasting of five iconic wines: Croft Pink, Croft Late Bottled Vintage, Croft Tawny 10 and 20 years old and Croft Quinta da Roêda Vintage.

The program invites two nightsit includes a second tasting of Douro wines, experienced on the Hotel terrace overlooking the gardens and the scenic Douro landscape or in the Library bar, if you prefer the comfort of the interior.

For families and longer holidays, the programs follow the rhythm of the seasons. O spring program is in force until June 30, when it inaugurates the summer season. Children up to 2 years old are invited to the hotel and from 3 to 16 years old benefit from special conditions. There is also the option of half-board, guaranteeing one meal per day at the hotel and flexible booking conditions.

With the reopening of the hotel, the Rabelo restaurant also returns, which serves the essence of Portuguese cuisine at the table, accompanied by a selection of the best wines from what is the first demarcated region in the world.

In the menu are typical flavors, worked with creativity and diversity of offers, including vegan and vegetarian proposals and children's menu, thinking of the little ones. Cod with sames feijoada, bean purée, mini cabbage and gamba sautéed in spicy olive oil and Lamb roasted with “northern” risotto with greens and sausage are two of the Chef's suggestions.

Reservations are mandatory through website, email (reservations@vintagehousehotel.com) or telephone (+351 220 133 137).
