There are about 40 children from Matosinhos social solidarity institutions, who, today, at 16:00 pm, will visit the nerve center of Rally de Portugal, at Exponor. Getting to know the backstage of an international event that brings together the best drivers in the world and realizing the importance of this unit for the realization of the event are just some of the moments of the initiative. A visit to TOPAS, the interactive tourism shop on wheels, which will be present throughout the Rally at Exponor, is another of the actions prepared for children.

“We want to share with these children the remarkable moment of the rally's return to the North. Allow them privileged access to a restricted area of a worldwide event. To instill, who knows, a taste for this sport, but more than anything, to show them that they must be future spectators who are careful and respectful of safety rules. At the same time, we want to let you know what the territory has to show you and that is why the visit to TOPAS will certainly be interesting ”, says Melchior Moreira, responsible for Tourism in Porto and North of Portugal

TOPAS (Tourism Open Public Auto Service) will be on Exponor's site to promote the destination, with special emphasis on the territory of the Rally, on May 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22, to make known the tourist suggestions in the region. On board this Interactive Mobile Tourism Store, over these days, there will be some of the major events that mark the destination Porto and North, as well as the diverse structured proposals of the destination.

The 2016 edition of Rally de Portugal kicks off next Thursday, May 19.
